ABOUT

I’m a Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor and adventurer who grew up in Sydney, Australia and is currently living the mountain life in Fernie, Canada. I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 5 years now and after studying information technology at university I realised I was most passionate about fitness and health.

Wondrous Health & Fitness is for the challenge hungry, the active lovers, the motivation petitioners, the explorers and adventurers, the fitness tech nerds (I know you are out there), the active socialites, the newbie fitness seekers, the fitness enthusiasts and the self-discoverers.

To give you the tools and resources to train smarter to that you can spend more time doing the activities and adventures that you love (and better). Whilst continually pushing your comfort zone to be the healthiest, happiest version of yourself.

I strive to push you beyond your comfort zone to help lay the foundations for a healthy lifestyle. So that you don’t have to cut a day short because you are out of breathe, your muscles are sore or your injured yourself. To empower you to be active on your own terms and enjoy doing it so that you can achieve something which is sustainable for the long run. To provide you with the confidence to exercise. To provide you with the tools and knowledge to train smarter and more efficiently. To provide you with the options to be more active and to motivate you on your very own journey to a healthier, happier you.

But more than that. To reduce the percentage of people who do not currently meet the recommended physical activity guidelines. To reduce the sedentary behaviour globally and use fitness and health as a tool to support mental health around.

I’ve done more embarrassing things than I could ever count and every single one of them has made me more confident and happy with who I am. It’s because of this, I love to challenge myself.

Feeling self-conscious and never really understanding how to train properly or eat right is something I can really relate to. I used to think 💭 that if you did as much cardio in the world you could look great and it didn’t really matter what you ate as long as you exercised.

I also never imagined I would be able to do all the adventurous things I’ve been able to do (including moving to a mountain town in Canada) since allowing myself to feel more confident and training to be healthy and fit. Like canyoning, snowboarding, hiking, a week long canoe trip, mountain biking, rock climbing (the list goes on).

Growing up swimming and then around my teenage years drifting away from fitness I’ve been in both worlds. In the time I stopped exercising I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, never had any energy and noticed I wasn’t feeling confident about my body. I found my way back to fitness and health through my passion for being outdoors, training with friends, getting the right support so I could learn more and becoming a group fitness instructor.

About

For as long as I can remember I have been trying new things. The first book series I ever read was The Tomorrow Series and I hate losing. I am silently competitive and know the secret to finishing a Rubix Cube (YouTube).

In the past 8 years I have been able to build up my body confidence and move my body in ways that I enjoy. You can read a little more about my story here:

HANGOUT

You will usually find me hanging out on instastories sharing a fitness tip of the day, or my personal insights for the day. Maybe a little bit of what I am eating and usually what I am up to for the day.

Sometimes you can find me sharing seasonal content on YouTube. Whether it’s an adventure or my personal journey. I strive to show you a balance, active lifestyle ( (including the ups and downs). And to share my adventures to inspire you to stay embarrassed and try new things.

On Mondays, you’ll find me sitting somewhere (a cafe, at home or outdoors) typing up an email to the Wondrous list with some insights to change the way you think about fitness. Supporting the tribe to help encourage you to meet your goals every week and stay on track. I always invite you to reply to chat about any struggles you may be having at that time.
